As a stonemason, I work with slate daily. I love the stuff. It's strong, tactile, easy to shape and elemental. It's also amazingly well suited to hifi applications because of its density and lack of resonance. It is for these reasons that we have settled on this ancient stone as the material of choice for our products. Add to this our love of vinyl, DJ culture and the shared emotional experiences that come from enjoying the music we love on sound systems that have us connecting with one another and you've arrived at Ishi Soundworks. After all, good sound should bring us all together.

Started as a side project in 2025, Ishi Soundworks aims to finesse the best out of both materials and components.  We want our products to sound great, look great and last a lifetime.
